My
Interview With Janet Jackson
That Never Was
THE
EXCLUSIVE JANET JACKSON INTERVIEW THAT NEVER WAS Tell
A Friend About This Site
This Is What Happens When A Fan
Tries To Interview Janet Jackson
Since
the website's inception, I've tried to interview Janet Jackson.
Afterall, she is a super entertainer and I thought that
it would be cool for a fan to ask stimulating questions
revealing yet another dimension to the elusive Janet Jackson.
I find that most reporters go through the same boring script
when Janet does promos for her albums, a time when most
artists would only "do" interviews...
You know... the age old questions regurgitated in different
ways...
"What is it like being a part of a musical dynasty
and a musical family?"
"How is your brother Michael?"
"What is it like to be famous and not have any privacy?"
"Are you going to tour and will this be your last tour?"
"Tell us more about your sexually suggestive lyrics..."
"How is your brother Michael?"
"What happened there at the Superbowl?"
"How is your brother Michael?"
...or
maybe then again it could be the same old answers regurgitated
in different ways. Who knows... Janet's a smart cookie!
Anyway, it was just a thought, a crazy one at that that
I could possibly interview Janet Jackson. I pulled out all
the stops. I've asked any and everyone you can imagine from
her label to even her elusive company and well... it's been
a very long and interesting ride.
What was eventually produced was this...
Now
I've got to say, when I first posted this on the site, I recieved
emails saying that it was cool that I got to interview Janet.
The Truth? I never did! Even though I thought it was clear
that this interview never took place in the title of the project,
I ended up putting up a disclaimer.
So then why did I do this "interivew"? Well... at
the time it was a cynical statement about artists and the
"media". How they both dance a choreographed tango
to entertain us. Not to mention I was a little frustrated
over the amount of declines I received from my interview requests
over the years. That doesn't mean to say that I've given up!
I look forward to the day I can add a follow up with a REAL
Janet Jackson interview. I will keep you all posted! Maybe
you might have questions that you would like to ask Janet.
